Come celebrate the best of Americana music with Paul Metsa and Sonny Earl at the 2022 Silver Bay Music in the Park. Part of a free live concert series.
At City Center Park, next to City Hall.
Paul Metsa and Sonny Earl are going to celebrate Bob Dylan's 79th Birthday with an hour and a half streamed concert. It will include a unique selection of Dylan songs spanning 50 years. We are honored to be joined by Bassist Extraordinaire Billy Peterson, who played on Blood on the Tracks (as well as Steve Miller, Ben Sidran, and more.) We are also going to include a handful of Metsa originals to make sure the East End of the Iron Range is represented. We will be streaming off Paul Metsa's Facebook page, and probably a couple of other outlets as well. This will be streamed from a location in NE Mpls. on the banks of the Mississippi River, so the visuals will be almost as cool as the music!
Free concert, thought donations are appreciated at Venmo @Paul-Metsa.
Celebrate 40 years of Metsa Music Making and other Musings with Paul and friends!
Cats Under the Stars Acoustic Quartet will be celebrating their 43rd Anniversary (to the day!) featuring original members Paul Metsa, Tim O'Keefe, Jack Pasternacki, and Joe Luoma. They will be joined by special guest Camile Baudoin of the Radiators.
This is my favorite gig of the year. Hats off to Baby Grant Johnson (graduate of Minnehaha Academy) who started pure as the driven snow, got into punk, and now is a great Folksinger and git picker. The Paul Metsa Acoustic Quartet (Mari Harris, Randi Starr Hudson, Sonny Earl) will go on at 9:30pm. NO COVER and the longest running Folk Festival in the Twin Cities! The bartenders are superb and the vibe all around cool!
This event is a FUNDRAISER for HOMEWARD BOUND DOG RESCUE and will also have DOGS FOR ADOPTION (3-5PM.) It is also DOG FRIENDLY! It features great musicans playing outdoors in the summertime, great food and adult beverages (kids are welcome with supervised guardian) for a great cause.
